Adorable Interview Meme Is Adorable.

In this meme you leave a comment saying "Interview Me," and the person you're commenting to gets to ask you five questions that they made up.

1. The Doctor shows up and offers you a choice between going to a Beatles concert or an Elvis concert (when both are in their prime), which do you choose?
2. What are your thoughts on the Angel/Buffy/Spike triangle?
3. What's your favorite Doctor Who quote?
4. Name a place you've always dreamt of visiting and say why.
5. Who's your favorite B.A.M.F.
, real or fictional?

1. The Doctor shows up and offers you a choice between going to a Beatles concert or an Elvis concert (when both are in their prime), which do you choose?
I think I'd choose Elvis in his really early days, before the Colonel snatched him up from Sun Records (I think that's the label's name) because Elvis's music back then was his own, and he was still a bright-eyed young man, before the drugs and everything, and that's the Elvis that I like to picture and the one that I'd want to see.  Also, I think the Doctor would get a real kick out of it, too.  Yeah, I'm a bit more of an Elvis fan than a Beatles fan, but I like them both.

2. What are your thoughts on the Angel/Buffy/Spike triangle?
Well, I certainly like it more than the bland Buffy/Riley relationship.  I know Angel was Buffy's first love and all that, but I'm glad that she was able to move on, and I wish he could've.  I'm not sure if he ever realized that he couldn't just bide his time and wait for her to call for him to come back to her; she's human and has to move on.  I know people don't like Spike in Season 6 because of what he tried to do in "Seeing Red" (which I refuse to watch because of that), but Buffy was pretty damn mean to him, emotionally abusing him by ignoring his feelings and using him strictly for sex, without really caring how he felt about that.  But I did like that they cuddled in Season 7, signifying that they forgave each other.  But then he crossed over to Angel and essentially became Angel, pining for Buffy and all that jazz.  I wish the show hadn't ended with Season 5 because I would've liked to have seen Spike and Angel move on and I think I'm the only person who wanted Spike to get together with Fred.

3. What's your favorite Doctor Who quote?
"Everything has its time, and everything dies." ---The Ninth Doctor

I love all of the humorous quotes and there are dozens I could have picked from, but I chose a serious one because it seems to sum up life.  Nothing lasts forever, no matter how much you want it to.  It may seem like a downer, but you can also take it as saying that nothing lasts forever, so treasure it while you can, especially since there's that scene not too long after this quote where Nine takes Rose back and says "You think it'll last forever, but one day it will all be gone."  This quote is poignant because the Doctor is still coming to terms with how real that is.  He's just lost his people, his world, and while he didn't like it all that much when it existed, now there's nothing left.  He caused it, which just makes it worse, and he's now realizing that maybe Gallifrey was bound to be destroyed eventually.  Nine came to terms with being the last of his kind, while Ten just got kind of emo about it.  Nine knew that loss was a part of life, but Ten seems to lose sight of this fact, since he gains a lot.

4. Name a place you've always dreamt of visiting and say why.
Britain and Ireland, because they both have such a rich history with castles and monarchs and wars of succession, and I find it all so fascinating.  I have a feeling that I'd wander around the tower of London spewing random facts, and other tourists might ask, "Why is there an American tour guide?"  I really want to visit all of the Tudor palaces because I absolutely adore that era of British history---it's just melodramatic enough to make it interesting and all of the events were just kind of...big.

5. Who's your favorite B.A.M.F.
, real or fictional?
Oh, dear, how do I answer that question?  This is going to sound strange, but for a few years now, I've thought of Ed Bradley (that black broadcaster on 60 Minutes who died about two years ago) was a B.A.M.F.  He was a great interviewer and he always had this...presence about him that was rather commanding yet calm at the same time.  Also, he dared to wear an earring before it was cool for guys to wear earrings.  I know that sounds bizarre, but I've always thought he was really cool ever since I was a little kid (I watched a lot of news back then---one of my first longer phrases was "Tom Brokaw").

For a fictional B.A.M.F., I think I'd have to go with the Joker from The Dark Knight.  Never before have I enjoyed a character who freaked me out so much, but also made me laugh.  It was impossible to look away whenever he was on screen, even if you were terrified and really wanted to.  Never has a villain been so enjoyable.  Heck, I almost started rooting for him instead of Batman in the middle of the film---you know a villain is really good when you'd rather root for him than the hero.

And all of the answers are italicized because LJ formatting is a bitch.
