I've got a lot of pics so be prepared.
Here it is just put on the frame before any quilting.
Here's one of the block designs. I thought I'd show y'all how I quilt them. First you find what stencil works best & center it on the block. Then I swipe the pounce pad over it. It has chalk in it that is removable by a steam iron.
See it leaves this pretty little design on the fabric that I can follow when I quilt.
Here's another design I'm using on it too. Let me know if you don't like either. I've only done 1 of each & can take out the stitching if you want.
And here's the borders. I'm doing X's on the piano keys.
In the other blocks, I'm also doing X's.
The blocks with the fabulous VWs, I just stitched in the ditch. I don't want to stitch over it for fear of taking away from it. The batting I'm using is okay to quilt up to 12" apart without it shifting. So with the VW square being 8" we are just fine, if that's okay with you.
