Pansy just came back from the library, still smiling over her victory earlier when she passed granger in the halls."Well, well, arn't you looking nice" she smirked, stopping and crossing her arms to look at the girl
"I know, I'm gorgeous today. What do you want?" Hermione felt hurt everywhere anad was really lost. Her comeback suprised even herself as she crossed her arms over her robes and stared at the tall girl.
Pansy raised an eyebrow. "Did Weasley dump you again?" Dhe chuckled "Aw, come on, Granger, you'll find another stupid asshole to make out with. "She enjoyed the look Hermione was giving her. "I heard they have dating services in your world, if you don't include a picture you might have a chance." She looked her up and down "Well... maybe you won't."
Hermione was furious. Her and Ron! "Maybe you should give the muggles a chance, then maybe you could even FIND a boyfriend." She almost stamped her foot. Her mind was racing and she felt herself go red. Her and Ron?? What was she talking about anyway?
Pansy laughed, tilting her head to the side and placing a hand on her hip. "And *you* are the one to teach me the art of beeing loved by a man?" She chuckled "How amusing." Pansy shook her head mockingly. "I'm sure the boys standing in line to be my lover play a huge role in your pathetic fantasies so I'm letting that one slip."
"You... you... MEAN GIRL." Hermione uncrossed her arms and shoved them in her pockets. "And by the WAY you can NOT make Neville do your homework. We told Professor McGonagall and you're not going to get away with it."
"It's something you have or not, Granger, live with it." She gave Hermione an amused smile, "Oh really? Well I'm sure Professor Snape will let an old nearly-decaying woman say something even close to an insult to one of his pupils." She smacked her hand against her mouth. "Oh no, I'm so scared."
Hermione wasn't going to argue this or anything else with this horrible girl. She marched off toward the Common Room and nearly bumped into Pansy as she tried to keep calm. She was a prefect and didn't have a temper. Her and Ron?! Who said that?
"Do you honestly think i'd be as stupid as one of your house and do something I'm not entirely sure to get away with?" Pansy crossed her arms again and leaned against the wall giving Hermione a sweet smile."No, Granger, I have more tricks then you think... so go on and cry me a river, mudblood." She rolled her eyes. "Or no... I think Weasly is more suitable to show that kind of emotion to... he might have you back." She smirked.
Hermione stopped and stared at the corridor in front of her, not daring to turn around. "Ronald and I are NOT together. We never have been and won't be. Where on EARTH did you get that crap? And as for your tricks, they can't seem to get Malfoy out of his fascination with Harry, now CAN they? I guess you'll just have to go miserably along with you girlfriends until you're all old unmarried and unloved hags." She would have walked away but she wanted to know her answer.
"Oh please, Granger, is that the best you can do?" Pansy closed the distance between them so she could directly look her in the eyes. "ONE, I thought you where supposed to be the smart Gryffindor? Although that offcourse says nothing, "She grinned." If you didn't see how the boy wants you and looks at you as if you are one of his chocolate frogs, eager to eat you up, you are not only blind but also deaf, dumb and idiotic."She chuckled, "Although we already knew that last one, didn't we?" She backed up a little giving her a superior look
"And second, who ever said I don't want Draco and Potter to be together? Honestly, after all those years you've been in the Golden Trio," she rolled her eyes, "I atleast thought *you* knew what friendship was... it's about giving and sometimes making sacrifices." She stared at Hermione's shoulder for a few seconds and looked back up. "I guess you've never felt the love of a man, nor his friendship." She sneered. "How sad."
Hermione blushed deeply and looked at the floor. "Ron and I have nothing." She would NEVER admit to Pansy Parkinson, of all people, that she hoped what she was saying was right. Not only was Ron attractive and sweet but it made the dream with Harry just that, a dream. "And you can not tell me how I am. You don't know anything about me, nothing at all." Her voice was calm and firm now. "You and I both hope Malfoy and Harry find happiness. Fine. Then we agree. Let me go, we both have homework." She glared into Pasy's face. She was really beautiful and Hermione was jealous.
"Yes, I don't know you, and after what I saw of you I'm not interested to get to know you." She raised a brow. "Obliviously you aren't as smart as evryone thinks you are. You hide yourself behind books and shield your eyes from what's right infront of you." Pansy tilted her head to the side. "Today you have shown you are not nearly adult enough to discuss things like a lady should, just as you call you it insult me without even thinking about what you say." She bit her bottom lip and smiled. "That shows of no class and is the reason why I could care less what you say." She strightend up "I may be a foul serpent in your eyes, Granger, but I'd say it's better then not giving in to love. She leaned in so her face was next to Hermione's ear. "I'm maybe love's bitch and a slut but atleast I have the courage to admit it." She walked passed the girl, not caring if she was shocked or not.
Hermione remained in her spot for what seemed forever, listening to Pansy's heels echoing down the hall and eventually dissapearing altogether. She stared at the floor, then the cealing, then the corridor. The prophecy... she looked to the floor again and started crying. Pansy was so mean. She just has nothing else to do, Hermione told herself, nothing of what she said is true. She wiped her eyes and sterted down the hall, thinking about Ron's hand in her hair and the prophecy. Harry and his prophecy. She walked quickly and cried.
