What if I said I was staying in Marquette this summer?
I spent the evening looking over previous livejournal posts, and every last one of them from last summer was moderately miserable... except the ones about being in Marquette.
I'm trying to figure out if 8 weeks is even worth it. I'm also trying to figure out if subtracting 8 weeks from Target Algonquin is going to make them not want to talk to me ever again. But honestly, if I were to work here all year, I might not have to work over Christmas...
And what, oh lord what, are my parents going to say?
That I'm abandoning them, probably.
But I could still take a week or two off in July and go home. That would still be more profitable than only working for 8 weeks this summer. At the very, very, VERY most I could make $2200. That is NOTHING. I couldn't even pay off my credit card bill and afford gas for that, much less pay my parents back for money spent in Sweden.
And my schedule next semester will allow for work, preferably Target because I like $8 an hour, so I wouldn't be asking to transfer there for 12 weeks instead of 8. Hell, I could even work a couple hours between now and then because pep band is (almost) over.
And I would have friends, because Jon is staying in Lake Forest, and Katie will still be in Antioch, more than an hour away...
