Bad Moon
I smell trouble coming from these Glenn Beck nuts. I did before their (not nearly as )massive (as advertised) hate-fest, but the signs were pretty alarming. Several saying things like "We came unarmed (this time)" I do not want to give them any more media attention, but I just hope that they are getting ample Secret Service attention.
One sign in partifcular bothered me "We've Been Hijacked. Let''s Roll!" really struck me as (a) massively inappropriate and (b) equating the duly elected President of the United States to a terrorist hijacker.It struck me as what they're trying to tap into, making the President the Other. There was one sign that I think was urging a military coup.
I worry because Obama can be very naive about Republicans and, as mad as I am at him right now, I still hope that he has the good sense to monitor these groups very closely.
