Um...Hello...

You know that feeling when you're doing a sound test on a microphone, and you have no idea what to say? And how everything you *do* say sounds pretty lame, especially to yourself? Yeah, I'm feeling that pretty badly right about now.

That actually reminds me of an evening when I was staying at a friend's (Matt Hindes) house in Bellingen. There was a party in the next street, with a live (local) band. They were sound-checking for about 2 hours, so all evening this guy had been going "One, two....one, one two...two two...". Now anyone who has actually done half-decent tech work will tell you that they say those two syllables because the sound they give is particularly effective for testing equalizer levels, however at the end of two hours Matt and my nerves had had quite enough. One of us (the exact party shall remain ambiguous) finally lost it, stood up and screamed "IT'S THREE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, THREE! ONE, TWO, THREE!!". Not that they payed any notice, of course.

Anyway, those of you who actually know me, other than some raving loon on teh intarwubs (so as a raving loon irl) may (or may not) be glad to know that finally, after not having internet since before christmas, having my computer on order for a full month before it was shipped and spending two months waiting for parents to allow the setting up of a network, I have internet access again.

So. As you can see, I have started a new lj to keep in touch with people who ditched us here in Coffs (Pip and Lin :p)

Hi guys.

In other news, I'm going for my P's (again) tomorrow at 11, so if you live in NSW, leave the state, preferably by air (which is still not guaranteed safe) and wish me luck.

Speaking of which, I should go fill in my logbook for the last 6 months.

In which case, I'd better offski (points for anyone who can tell me which author that was referencing) so I shall see you later.

p's
