three years!
Three years ago today, I had just arrived in Portland and was in the process of settling into my empty apartment. The vast majority of my things were still in California and wouldn't arrive for another week, and I would be starting my first day of school to work on my pre-reqs in a few days.
Now, I'm starting my second term of nursing school and my apartment is full of things and memories.
A lot of what's happened in the last three years has been completely unexpected. I've been following a plan and so far, that's gone well--at least with respect to what I actually planned for, the broad strokes of my life. The devil, as they say, is in the details--and it's precisely those that have brought me a lot of joy and meshugas.
If things continue to go as planned, I'll be here in Portland for at least three more years. Who knows what's going to happen in that time?
