summer in SF

Summer is officially here in San Francisco.

I'll be wearing my pea coat today, in June.

Because it is that cold, windy, misty, and miserable.

It's ridiculous. Ten miles east of here, it's going to be lovely day, in the seventies.

Here? High fifties.

For the next two-and-a-half, three, months. Then we'll get nice weather again.

I love autumn. But living in the City of Perpetual Autumn is very hard. No wonder all the non-native Californians around here don't believe we have seasons in California. (We do. Oh, we do. Just not anywhere near the coast.)

And then the sun came out, the sky turned blue, and the wind was refreshing instead of just cold for the afternoon.

Of course, the temperature has now dropped again and the fog started to roll back in. Yeah, it's like that.
