I recently asked for prompts for 100 word (or so) drabbles.
Here's the first one.
1) I'd love to see a Doctor Who drabble -- Ten, if you would.
You miss Rose, but it's Martha that keeps you from ever stopping to rest.
The guilt of it, really, when you pause--not long enough to be true rest, and more than half the reason you like Donna is that she makes it impossible to do more than pause--is as overwhelming as the memory of Gallifrey and fire.
How do you deal with the love of a woman who literally saved the world, for you, without you, when she's always only second-best in your heart? How do you meet her gaze, when you asked too much, gave too little, and she forgave you anyway?
You thank Time she's clever and leaves on her own terms.
You can make no separate peace with your unquiet heart, and loneliness is all you deserve. It's better that way.
