Eiffel Tower
Going to the Eiffel Tower was one of those quintessentially "I am a tourist in Paris" moments. Part of you is like, "oh god, it's going to be a dreadful tourist trap and I'm going to have to wait in line for ages and ages and I'm going to have to deal with all the frigging tourists"--but another part of you is going, "Oh my god! It's the frigging Eiffel Tower! Oh my god! It really does look like that! Oh my god! I'm in Paris!"
(Yes, there is a part of you that is perfectly incontinent when it comes to exclamation points.)
Anyway, the day was overcast and foggy, so panoramic shots didn't work out so well. However, the place is full of engineering delights and architectural grace notes. So clearly, I had plenty to take pictures of.
Here are a few of them. And look, it's only two months later.
