Holy Toledo!
Sorry, couldn´t resist. I´m in Toledo. Actually, right at this moment, I´m in the Castillo de San Servando, just across the Tajo (the Tagus River) from the city. It used to guard the eastern approach to the city. There´s a great hostel here now.
Toledo is a lovely town. Frankly, it´s so picturesque, you actually use the word "picturesque" to describe it. I like it, but it´s so twee it makes my teeth hurt.
Madrid was impressive and lovely. I´m really going to enjoy spending more time there when I go back next week. I´ll be in Paris on Monday.
I think I´ll only be doing brief updates on the trip right now. I´m journalling like mad in my Moleskine, and I plan on excerpting that for you folks sometime after I get back home. I´m also taking lots of pics. They´ll be loaded onto my Flickr account after I get home, too.
Oh... I saw some of El Greco´s paintings today. I´ll see more of them tomorrow. Damn, but he´s good.
