I got a job as a storyboard artist at Warner Bros. Animation. I fly out on May 25th, move into my apartment on May 26th, and attend orientation that very same day.

Congrats, that's just fantastic! I assume that you're referring to the Warner Bros. Animation studio in Burbank close to their public studio tours (which I went on last year, equally fantastic). Does that mean you'll be working on upcoming feature projects of theirs like Storks and Smallfoot? Or will it be television stuff like DC-based shows for Cartoon Network, or Teen Titans Go!
Or something of that ilk?

It must feel great to finally be able to work with a big animation studio after a period of freelance work while having a routine job. I haven't experienced that myself (I'm in the period of waiting to hear from the animation colleges about whether my portfolio got me in) but many people I've talked to say that's the trickiest period, both financially, creatively and mentally. So you must be so happy to be past that! I'm sure you're wrecked, but for good reason - your work and effort has paid off. So props, girl.

I can't talk about what I'm working on, but yes, WBA in Burbank. It's where I interned all those summers. :)

And thanks! You're right about this awkward period between college and your first real animation job - it has been tricky to say the least.
