Film catch-up post
Yesterday was the most challenging shoot of my secondary career as a filmmaker. That's mostly on purpose - I always try to do something I haven't done before with each new project.
In this case, it was a combination of working with sound for the first time (as I've only ever done music videos previously, where on-set sound is unimportant) and a difficult set of practical effects: a large barrel and soaking one of the cast members to varying degrees.
This project is the pilot for a web series, and I'm hoping to have the final cut released in November. If all goes well, I'll begin writing future episodes and figuring out how to fund it all.
In related news, we got accepted to another LA festival! I can't say which one yet, but the timing coincides with another festival I'll be attending there anyway, so hopefully I'll be able to juggle it all successfully.
