Music:
Alan Parson's Project - I, Robot - A concept album based on Isaac Asimov's "I, Robot" of the same name (not the never-enjoyable Will Smith outing) is like Dark Side of the Moon with more synthesizers and glazed on 70s sound making it a worthy listen, if anything.
Night Gallery - Live Performance - The Cure meets The Decemberists meets words I barely understand coming from the lead singer who was so indie he didn't even sweat during the entire performance.
Captain Beefheart - Doc at the Radar Station - Kind of like "Def Jam" but with a weird guy who sounds like that guy who's been drinking all day and shouting at the television in your favorite bar, but deep down there's more to the unique rock sound with each listen.
The Hold Steady - Stay Positive - "Sequestered in Memphis" hooked me but the rest of the album is like every other Hold Steady song ever.
Kings of Leon - Only By The Night - Put "Sex On Fire" on every playlist you make this year and see how many people say, "this is good, who is this?" but Kings of Leon aren't that new or underground so they'll probably just say "oh" and move on.
TV on the Radio - Dear Science, - Every time I put it on I hear something new and like the album even more than the previous listen, but pitchfork will give the album a 7.8.
Video Games
Bionic Commando: Rearmed - PS3 - A good game that is exactly the same as the free NES rom version floating around the Internet and a remake that makes me wonder when Capcom will remake Strider Returns and the NES classic, Ducktales: Swimming in Gold.
Resistance - PS3 - A PS3 launch title that was actually good and can be picked up for $30.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma - PS3 - Difficult and frustrating but the graphics make everything look like it's been covered in Vaseline, which may be a selling point for some of you.
Movies
What Happens In Vegas - Cameron Diaz reinflates her flat face so coke-head Ashton Kutcher can half-ass the entire film along side her while pretending the story is an elongated version of punk'd.
