So a few weeks back I broke the bad news about how Radiohead will not score A Scanner Darkly, the upcoming film adaptation of the Philip K. Dick novel directed by Richard Linklater. Well last week Linklater told Entertainment Weekly that they would be scoring the movie, only to change it up the next day by saying they will be "
contributing" music to the film. So I'm not sure if this means new music, old music, or a mix of both, but Thom Yorke will also have a solo song in there. Yes, apparently Thommy is going solo. I'm not really sure what to think of that. Let's just say Lennon leaving the Beatles didn't work out so well. No, I'm not implying Thom is going to get shot. I'm just saying, once you go solo, you don't go back. And if you do, then it's only half-assed, like Beyonce's return to Destiny's Child or how it took eight years and Dave Chappelle to reunite The Fugees. Anyway, I digress. This movie is going to be flippin' sweet. Seriously.
So Isaac Hayes is supposed to be back for tomorrow night's episode of South Park. I really haven't been this excited for an episode of South Park in quite some time.
Thanks, Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology!
