Well, I have a lot to Update on, I'll go backwards.
Last night I watched the Charity Concert for the Tsunami victims, discovered that Australia is the number 1 aid giver, called in to donate a further $100 to my original $400 from last weeks pay. I still can't believe that in the space of 3 hours, Austalia managed to raise over $15 mill. It warms my heart, and as was so frequently said last night, it makes me so proud to be an Australian. It really does show our true colors. We managed over $11 mill. in 3 hours for the Bali bombing, and then there was the $12 mill for the Drought appeal, that Australian's donated to Australian's. I remember the numbers (or at least approx. numbers because of being on the Charity committee) I am just so proud, I don't know what else I can say. I just hope that we all realise, that we can't just give it now, it needs to be continuing, and we need to start going back over to help them further by bringing Tourism back. (listens to Missy Higgins' song that was played on the Steps of the Opera House at the concert last night, The Special Two)
Okay, next is a short not very important, mum and dad are back in Sydney till today and Mum is here till Tuesday and she gave me what is surely my last birthday gift. It was a beautiful music book with French and Italian Arias for a Mezzo Soprano, including Carmen :D
The night between Thusday and Friday is where I move next. Nicole and Jacki, Mark and his boyfriend Brad were "locked in" at the Pub, but they made no effort to get out. The back door was unlocked, the phones were working and it's easy to call someone to let you out. Anyway, we don't now what the repurcussions are going to be yet, they stole a heap of alcohol from the cocktail bar, left it a mess and Nicole was found naked in the morning, and Mark's undies were found in the bathroom. To add to that, they have said constantly that they didn't sleep at all that night, needless to say, the staff aren't going to be sitting on the couches up in the Elephant bar for a few weeks at least... I'm not sure if I want them to be fired, if only for the fact that it's half of the floorstaff and I'd have to deal with a lot of new people that could be worse, but I don't particularly like them anyway, especially after New Years...
I guess we'll just have to wait and see there....
Before that amazingly, I made my decision on schools!! I decided on Thursday. There were so many things to think about. I realised that I was going to go to WAAPA to catch up for longer with people who might be over there, not for the course. If you hadn't guessed, I'm going to the Conservatorium of Music here in Sydney. It is a better course that the one i was accepted in to at WAAPA, and I also don't think I'd get into the Musical Theatre course if I did go to the Contemporary Performance course. I have been adamant for the longest time that I will get into the Musical Theatre course and nothing will change my mind, and I almost did, I tried to kick-start it. I am still getting over the shock a little, but I would have struggled next year with no music. I suppose we'll see.
So there you go, a good little update there, by a Very proud Australian.
