Heavy rain and hail across wide areas of inland NSW have damaged crops and yesterday started to cause flooding around Narrabri, Moree and Wee Waa.

As the death toll from floods in northern NSW and southern Queensland climbed to three, many farms along the Namoi River have been cut off.

Orange police said a local resident had found a body, believed to be that of Juliet Tilston, 64, near the town. Mrs Tilston disappeared on Wednesday night with her companion, who was found dead on Thursday.

In Sydney, the Bureau of Meteorology said that 25.8 mm of rain had fallen between 3pm and 10 pm last night.

Well, looks like we've had some badly timed rain and a christmas present from the sky that didn't really work out. Drought to Flood, that's all it ever seems to be, though hopefully, if there's no more rain we might just be able to save our crop for this year...
The farm is flooded in and dad, mum and arl, granny and grandpa are all surrounded by water. 2 of our 3 properties should be alright, yet the one completely in my fathers name is struggling with SOO much water. Man, there's so much going on now! Miss you all
