4th of July weekend
Nobody ended up working at all this weekend... We spent all day Friday watching our new movies and playing with cars, trucks, and books. The boys were wound for sound all day long!!! They are learning new words each and everyday. Everybody always says that boys are rough and very different than girls, but I guess I didn't think that they could be that much different... Oh my goodness, was I wrong!?! They wrestle, and push, and pull, and step on, and kick, and bite, and a million more things to each other all of the time!!! They have more bumps and bruises and bug bites than I ever imagined possible on a 1 an a half year old... lol!!!
Saturday was another early start. I ended up getting a migraine hella early in the morning so I had to go back to sleep for a little while. Liz played with the muchkins until naptime and then woke me up in time to head to the grocery store. My parents came in town for lunch with us. We grilled pork chops, corn on the cob, deviled eggs, tomato and cucumber salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, watermelon, cantaloupe, and chips and dip. After they went home, we put the babies down for a nap and watched one of our slasher movies. We decided to let them sleep for a couple hours early in the evening so that we could wake them up in time for the fireworks display and to set off our own fireworks. Maribeth stopped in for a little bit to share some yummy berry cobbler with us... It was great!!! They boys absolutely loved the display!!! I was impressed with how enthusiastic they were... No fear at all!!! We didn't end up getting them back to bed until 11:30ish. They were worn slick... lol!
