[a surprisingly decent sketch of the view from Variel's window, upon a bunch of gardens, marred in places by the inescapable inblots and ink smudges]

It's not very often that one is told that. But really, it's just something to pass the time.

I was never one for art. I took a course or two on it, but I was always better at other things.

I never studied art, but I probably wouldn't progress much further than this, really.
That's quite the chair.

That's quite accomplished for having never studied! You must have potential.
It's not terribly comfortable, but it does look nice.

Well, thank you. But it really is nothing.
That usually is the way, isn't it? If it looks particularly nice, it's often rather uncomfortable.

Either that, or it's both and costs too much, yes.

Ah, yes, the sacrifices one must make for the better things in life.

I can imagine. I cannot afford them myself, however.

Ah, I'm a teacher. Thunder magic and the basic language, to be more specific.

Oh really? Where do you teach, if I may?
Indeed, I do. It's one of the gardens in Jungvy.

Lenster Academy. Nice place if you ignore the politics.
Such a beautiful place. The gardeners must work hard.

Is it? I do believe you might be acquainted with one of my cousins, perhaps? Arisha Jungvy?
Yes, I imagine they must. I think it's well worth the results.

Yes, she is one of my top students.
I haven't been to Jungvy in years, but I assume it hasn't changed radically.

Good to hear.
Jungvy never really seems to change much, though I wouldn't count that as a bad thing. I'm rather fond of it the way it is, for the most part.
