January 4th is a bit too early for me, considering I should be coming back from the beach around that date (I THINK I'll be leaving on December 27th). So if things could be postponed to... let's say, January 8th, it would work better on my side.

January 4th is a Friday, 8th is a Tuesday, I'm more adverse to starting on weekdays.

Anyway... the ideal date for me would be anytime starting from the 7th... if weekdays are bad, then the best for me would be the 11th, but that might be too far from what was originally suggested? :<

Quite. I'm looking to start on winter break for US students, and the 11th would mean losing a bit of time.

If it's postponed to the 5th, it's just two days you'll be missing. If not, 3 days. That's not a lot.
