Go! Go! 5 Fes'08 in Budokan (Gundam 00 part 1)
Gundam 00 x Code Geass GO! GO! 5 FES'08 in Budokan
(You can tell that I'm bored while I'm waiting for the SE torrent to show up...) Just as the title says, it's a G00 x Geass event that took place in August 2008, which was just before the broadcasting of S2. The footage was included in the first S2 DVD as a bonus. I only downloaded the G00 portion of it for now (the whole torrent was almost 4GB *sobs*). Oh scratch that, it was split into two parts and my second part is still downloading-in-progress so here's my insane fangirl review on part 1~\o/
Part 1 is mostly for the Gundam 00 seiyuu fans. Idk what's on part 2 yet, I guess music performances? And then I can go hunt for the Code Geass one later (that one has Fukuyama, Sakurai, Yukana and Koshimizu *w*).
Performers: Miyano Mamoru, Yoshino Hiroyuki, Kamiya Hiroshi, Miki Shinichirou
Part 1 was mostly LIVE seiyuu on stage voice acting. Yeees live. The VAs of the four meisters. And being a huge seiyuu fan how can I possibly miss that? ♥ It's fun to hear their recordings in the show, but live seiyuu acting is a must listen. It just shows how professional they are with their work.
The event also showed some new footages of the anime (I'm not too sure on that - they could be added in the PSP game/DVD release, but at least I don't remember seeing this or this in the TV broadcast version)
It starts with Miyano narrating his typical Setsuna lines four years after the battle in S1.
Setsuna had been travelling ever since the battle ended, to witness the change they caused to the world...
And that's Miyano Mamoru (Setsuna's VA) who attempted to dress like Setsuna. *laughs*
Then it jumps to the scene where Tieria picked up Setsuna at the beginning of S2. Setsuna and Tieria briefly talked how Setsuna changed while Tieria remained the same physically, basically the conversation we had in S2 ep1 (but to the audience in the event it was new stuff). Tieria told Setsuna they had a new Gundam at CB waiting for Setsuna.
It's no secret that I enjoyed the Setsuna/Tieria interaction in S2 a lot...
And obligated Kamiya Hiroshi (Tieria's VA) pic! \o/ \o/ \o/
And then they finally introduced the cast with their famous lauching lines...oops my bad. I meant meisters!

*hears loud fangirl screams* \o/ \o/ \o/
With Daybreak's Bell playing in the background and the whole arena going hyper, we had this nostalgic conversation between Lockon and Setsuna again back then in episode 6...
L: Oi. Are you listening Setsuna? Reply, Setsuna! Reply!
S: ...Gandamu da.
L: Ah? What are you talking about?
S: Ore ga Gandamu da!
Then flashbacks on the battle of Moralia, and the aftermath conflict between the Meisters on the island. With Tieria being all b*tchy and Alle being out of the place as always (even the audience laughed at that lol). Oh, nostalgic times. It's so awesome to hear the seiyuu voicing that part on stage! Tieria then narrated how since that time the Meisters didn't sharing a strong bond or have a sense of one, and Setsuna added how it's that man who changed this - yes, that man. Lockon Stratos.
Next, they had this whole 10+ mins of Setsuna and Tieria's reflections on how Lockon changed their lives. I should attempt to translate that part sometime because it's simply pure love material (and bonus because it's canon - I believe the stage script was written by Kuroda?). It's no doubt that Lockon's impact on the two caused most of Setsuna and Tieria's development in S2, and it still makes me baaaaw every time I think about it...
They included some of the most significant Lockon scenes during the whole flashback (which were all my favourites from season one).
Major milestone of the Meisters' relationship. (Yes Alle, we know that you were left out.)
...or another major milestone in Tieria's development.
Tieria commented on how it was that moment that Lockon's words changed him; made him realized the importance and fighting together with his comrades. (baaaaaaaw Tieria ;A;)
(Oh yes, during all these times Yoshino Hiroyuki (Alle) was totally ignored. xD; I guess that's where half of the Lockon/Alle ships sank...)
But of course, they wouldn't spare me from the battle of doom either...
LOCKON. I SHALL SLASH ALI INTO PIECES IN YOUR PLACE.
Miki screamed out Neil's last "neraiutsu ze" ever...
Followed by the final monologue of doom. *cries*
What impressed me the most was that Miki Shinichirou, going full emotional mode during the monologue, closed his script and said his remaining lines all by heart. When he stepped down from the stage, he received the respect and applause from all the audience.
"Are you guys pleased with this worl---"
WHO NEEDS A SCRIPT HERE WHEN ONE COULD ALREADY MEMORIZE THE DOOMED LINES.
*bows to Miki*
Oh yes. Finally Setsuna and Tieria remembered about Allelujah after their long conversation about Lockon. Next is Alle's turn of 15+ mins of babbling to make up for the above absense...and it's pretty much Marie-centric like what he was doing the whole time in S2.
Forget about the Marie rambling, the most amusing thing was watching Yoshino Hiroyuki playing both Allelujah and Hallelujah at the same time, especially when they used different camera angles for each (ie. Alle's from the left, and Halle's from the right). Trust me, the difference in his facial expression as he spoke with the two different personalities was priceless! And it's pretty much perfect acting imo.

ALLELUJAAAAAAAAAH!
I DON'T WANT TO SHOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAH!
...You get the idea. It's hilarious to watch. Man, that guy is amazing! *claps*
Done with the Alle stuffs, back to Setsuna and Tieria. Setsuna ended the flashbacks with his famous "Ore-dachi ga Gundam da." And next we move on to the S2 preview footage.
...It's not my imagination, I could hear lots of fangirl screamings during that Tieria uniform scene! ♥♥♥ It doesn't help that Kamiya was doing the voice over...

Miki really did speak differently as Neil and Lyle. You simply could hear it.
Miyano ended the voice acting. The remaining was seiyuu free talk and I'd skip that part as I'm really tired already. X3 Can't wait for part 2 to finish downloading. Oh right. I still haven't written about the Macross concert yet orz.
Oh yeeees, btw, I started watching FMA2! (wrong timing, just when my midterms are about to start next week...) It's very impressive so far. And I keep hearing familiar Gundam voices in the show. But yes I'm enjoying it ♥♥♥
I probably should cast my seiyuu awards vote sometime soon too, after catching up with FMA. It's probably the last show I will watch before voting. Sorry Spice and Wolf ;w;
