I took a nap when I got home from classes, but it wasn't a very good nap. I slept, but it wasn't a very comfortable one. Bah. I saw a sign today about auditions for "Into The Woods" and of course I'm getting all nervous and having second thoughts again. The sign said you had to prepare 16-32 bars of an up-tempo song and 16-31 bars of a ballad. How long is 16-32 bars exactly? It's been a while since I took chorus in high school, I'm not sure exactly how long that's supposed to be. Can anyone tell me? Either in term of measures, or like, it's a verse and a chorus, or how many minutes...or something that I can get a concept of so I can figure out how much of a song to sing if I do this.
I'm watching "Homeward Bound" and I can't help loving this movie. It's such a sweet movie, and it's really funny. And plus I'm always impressed when animals have a lot of screen time, because it must take forever to get the correct responses and reactions from them. I just love this movie...I guess its a guilty pleasure...hee.
So I got this email from the school today. Tomorrow there's prayer programs, a moment of silence at 8:46 am, the flagpole is at half-mast and only two of the fountains at Dillingham will be turned on. Moment of silence...okay sure. Flagpole at half-mast...understandable. Prayer program...um I guess so. But what is the deal with the fountains? I hate all the 9/11 indulgence crap. YES it was a horrible terrible unthinkable thing that we all lived through. YES many innocent people lost their lives in a terribly tragedy. YES it's nice to have a moment of reflection. But c'mon enough is enough. There's gonna be specials on TV, I'm sure there's gonna be articles in The Ithacan, and everyone is gonna be talking about the 2 year anniversary. I'm just so tired of people making a huge deal out of it. We're never going to move past what happened if we keep reliving it every time we have an anniversary. Other countries have shit like this happen to them all the time, but they don't belly ache about it like we do. We're like some whiny little kid who just wants attention. You can agree or disagree with me, I don't mind. But this is just how I feel. And scene.
Since weekends don't seem to work so good for my friends, Nell and I decided to make a tentative plan to have a get-together type thing at my place next Wednesday. We figure that Wednesday night would be good because Thursdays we don't start classes and things until later in the afternoon, so we can drink the rum and have time to recover, should we need to. Kat said it should work for her, and I'm gonna email other people later about it. Hopefully it'll be actually happen and hopefully it'll be fun! I think everyone should know that I have the sexiest
cuddlebunny in the world. Everyone should go listen to his audio posts. Porn read in a British accent? *faints* S'hot stuff! ;]
