Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend...
...because I sure did! It started off great with the fun on Friday night. Saturday was very lazy and relaxed. I did some laundry, washed my car, watched TV and played some Nintendo 64. I ended the day by watching "Return of the King" and it was lovely. The next day we cleaned the house and got ready for our BBQ.
People started coming over around 5ish and in the end it was maybe 20-25ish people. It was pretty low key, but still really fun. Tons of food, full bar of course, and lots of good people. It was really fun. We got my cousin's girlfriend's old coffee table for Vic's garage sale months ago, and we got stuck with it when it didn't sell. We tossed it out back for the BBQ and we actually really like it there. It's a nice long table for putting stuff on, and it's really low, so it's the perfect height to put your feet up on. It's quite nice actually! It was a really nice evening.
The next day I hung around the house a bit, played more 64, and then that evening went to Jen & Kat's for another BBQ and hopes of seeing fireworks. It was only 10-15 people this time, but very relaxing and fun again. And we did see fireworks! We were up on their rooftop patio, and we had a really good view of like, 5 different firework shows. There were two that were really close, and we could hear them really well, but kind of obstructed by trees. Then there were another bunch of shows that we had a clear view of, but they were kind of far away and we couldn't hear so well. But no one was complaining because it was so fun. Vic actually climbed up on the roof roof, and I was really nervous at first because I kept thinking he was gonna fall. But he was fine. And he said the fireworks looked really awesome from there. No one else as brave enough to go up though...hehe.
All in all, it was a really lovely weekend. Not too stressful, not too much going on, just enough of everything and I had a great time all around. Only thing is, I can't decide if I ate a lot of junk food, or if I really didn't do that bad. I keep going back and forth on it. All I know is I'm sure as hell getting to the gym tonight! Heehee!
