We're on the air!

Today was very productive and very fun. I got up fairly early for a Sunday, around 9:30. I mean, it's not that early, but considering I'd gotten up at 5am on Saturday, I thought I was going to sleep in much later. Guess not! Anyway, I got up and did some cleaning bits. I vacuumed my room, did some laundry and turned the dining room into the guest room. Which was basically putting sheets on the futon. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it was going to.

After that I was going to go right to Ralph's, and then ended up going to a car wash instead. Wheelio got pretty muddy from Santa Clarita on Saturday, and with Line coming tomorrow I figured it was a good time to get her all nice and shiny. So we went and had a good scrub and she looks very pretty. Then I bought groceries, which was loads of fun.

A chick came to look at the house today, but we don't know if she's going to move in yet. She has a couple other places to look, so we'll see. I read a bit from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and took a nap on the couch. It was very cozy. I don't know why exactly, but naps are always cozier on a couch as opposed to in my bed. I love naps. Mmm.

I got a call from Miriam, my cousin David's girlfriend. She wanted to know if we wanted to take her old couch for our yard sale since we were looking for donations. I asked Vic and he said sure. So she brought over a pretty decent couch and also a living room table. I wasn't actually here for the drop off though, because I was at the premiere party for "Intervention."

It was from 6-9ish in Santa Monica and it was pretty fun. I was driving, so I couldn't drink, and there were times I felt very awkward because I still didn't know these people all that well yet. But I did have fun. Everyone was nice and friendly and I enjoyed the show. I hung around Alex and his boyfriend Lynn a bit, and they're so adorable. Lynn was pretty drunk and very amusing. They're really fun, I hope we become friends.

It was also really random, but Rider Strong was there. Apparently he's dating one of the girls in the office, so she brought him to the party. I did a small double take, because at first glance I thought it was just someone who looked like him. But then when I glanced again, I realized it actually was him. It was so random. But he was cool and really funny. There was a point I was standing with a bunch of people and we were joking about "Intervention: The Board Game" and joking about stuff with the game, and he was suggesting some really funny things. It was very surreal, but very cool.

I left around 8:30 because people were leaving and I couldn't take feeling awkward anymore. But all in all I had fun. I mean, I accept the fact that it was a bit awkward. I've only known these people 4 days. I can't be their best friend after 4 days. But it was fun and I did socialize and it was fun. When I came home I chatted with John and Vic a bit, which is always fun. And now, I think some more reading and then bed.
