Come out, come out, wherever you are...

Another semi lazy/semi-productive day. Well, not so much productive, but active. I did go to see "Hide And Seek" as I had planned yesterday. And since the theater is less than a mile away, I decided to walk there, since it was so nice out. I know it's not a big deal for normal people to walk a mile and back, but when you're a lazy fuck like me, it's an accomplishment. It was actually a nice walk, since it was actually lovely out. Past couple days have been clear and sunny, which is a nice change.

I had given myself about 40 minutes for the walk, because I didn't know how long it would take me. Turns out, I underestimated my ability to walk a mile, and got there in 15 minutes. So I had some time to meander in this little shopping center across the street. I stopped in a supermarket and picked up a few random things; sharpie, memo pad for writing phone messages, lollipop, bottle of water. Then I went to Blockbuster to look at the new releases. I was going to open a membership, but apparently they only accept credit cards to open one, no debit cards. So much for that.

Went back to the theater and saw the movie. It was about what I expected. It was better than "Boogeyman," but that's not exactly saying much. It wasn't that bad, it was just really predictable. I guessed the twist ending halfway through the movie, so the rest was just waiting for the reveal to see if I was right. And I was. Which kind of made the ending less exciting, since I was waiting for it. It was ok. It was a way to spend an afternoon.

After the movie I came home and hung around, doing very little. Vic had a very trying day and he updated me about what was happening a couple times. He had rented some shiny, expensive equipment for an editing job, and had bought another expensive piece of equipment to do the job, and the thing he bought doesn't work. So he spent all day trying to get the equipment to do what it's supposed to. Didn't go so well. So he got kind of behind with his stuff, and has "hired" me to help him log tomorrow. So basically I'm gonna be on his laptop while he edits, typing stuff into a spreadsheet. It's amusing to me that he's hiring me to do something this simple, when I would have done it for free. And it's amusing because I'm the first "employee" of Even Another Productions, aside from him...hehe.

So I'm "working" with Vic tomorrow, and then there's the "Black Dawn" wrap party, and then the film screening. It's shaping up to be a very busy day!
