Nothing to report, sir

Not much happened in the past couple days. Sunday we finished the pick up shots for "Peace" and now we're officially wrapped. And the house is slowly getting back to normal. Yesterday I did some more holiday shopping and Thanksgiving shopping. Today I babysat. That's seriously about it. Nothing exciting so far. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna call the DMV about my registration. Fun fun.

I applied to a bunch of office assistant/receptionist jobs tonight. Because even though I don't really want an office job, I can't be picky right now. And some of them pay pretty well. The one I really would like, is a receptionist at a photography studio. That'd be up my alley. And I'd have access to a darkroom. Maybe I could get back into photography. Of course this is assuming I'd even get a call about the job.

Anyway, tomorrow should be lazy enough. I plan to make the desert for Thanksgiving tomorrow, so there's one less thing to do Thursday. I'm making this no-bake cheesecake in cupcake holders so half will be chocolate chip and half will have cherry topping. And the cupcake wrappers I got made me think of Vic, because it had lil sports things all over it...hehe. We both still get very amused that he somehow got me into football. Neither of us can explain it really. But I really do like watching football now, god help me. The Packer game on Sunday was frigging awesome. I've become a Packer fan by default, because Vic taught me about football and they're his team. Kinda like how I became a Ranger fan from Dad. =Þ

I can't wait for Thanksgiving! Should be so fun. I think it'll be mainly me and John cooking in the kitchen. Vic'll stay out of it, and I'm not sure about Ryan. John is doing stuffing, I'm doing mashed and sweet potatoes and also glazed carrots. But the potatoes shouldn't be a big hassle. Hour or so in the oven, then remove and mash. And the carrots won't take long to cook either. I'll have to call Mom tomorrow to see if she has any lil tips because I never really made sweet potatoes before. I mean, I have yams, brown sugar, butter and marshmallows. I'm sure I can figure it out. But it'll be nice to have some pointers.

Anyway, that's what me and John are making. Ryan is doing some kind of appetizers, Vic is doing cranberry sauce, a salad and the turkey. Apparently we're deep frying the turkey. I've never had it, but Vic swears it's delicious and only takes 20 minutes, as opposed to all morning. I'm skeptical, but what the hell. I'm sure it'll be great. Plus there's also the Thanksgiving Day Parade that I'm TiVoing. Hopefully there'll be some good stuff. I'm excited! This may very well be the first event at the house where all 4 housemates are together!!! =Þ
