So I had one of those mornings where you set the alarm, and forget to turn it on. I love when that happens. You just know you're gonna be on top of your game when you start the day off like that. But I actually made it to work fairly on time. And it's not like I missed anything anyway. From 9:10-10:20 at the mailcenter, I did the following:
[1] Checked my final exam times on the computer.
[2] Played with a rubber band ball.
[3] Put out the mail bags.
[4] Talked with the other girls and Mike.
[5] Answered the phone twice.
[6] Browsed a catalogue.
Yeah, I love my mailcenter job. It's some of the easiest work in the world. For about 20 minutes I thought I was gonna continue working there during the summer, but then I heard Karen say something about how she wanted just one person to work for the entire summer, not a bunch of people to be split up throughout it. So maybe not. But if they ask me to work there 1-2 days a week, I'll say yes. Because they pay me $7 an hour, so even if I work 1 day a week from 9-4, that's an extra $50 a week. But if they go with someone else it's okay, because I still have the movie theater.
In Screenwriting I got feedback on my entire script, so that was nerve-wracking. I got some good critiques, and I already made some changes that I think make it work a bit better. I just want to know if they really liked it. Because they had a lot to comment on, and part of me worries that it sucks. A few of them said they liked it, but they thought it needed tweaking. I don't mind tweaking, but I'd just like to know that it's a script worth fixing. One guy was a complete ass though. He always criticizes really harshly. He said something along the lines of, "The only thing that worked for me in the entire script, was on page 112. That was the first and last time I forgot that this was paper." He could just have easily said that he liked what I did there. But no, he was a dick about it. He is seriously the biggest horse's ass.
I came back home and got to tweaking right away, even though I probably should have wrote some of my other script. Oh well. I can write a bunch this weekend. Becky came to pick me up for the Silent Dinner, and we got there just in time for the games. Technically we were in different groups, but we kinda stuck together anyway. The games seemed more fun this time, even though they were kinda similar to the old ones. But it was fun. I am glad that it was the last one, though. After the dinner, Laura met me for grocery shopping. I managed to get everything I needed to last the week and stayed within my $45 limit. I rule!
