Well, that was certainly a pleasant surprise. First thing this morning, I found my vintage Winchester 1200 shotgun, modified for home defense. You have a Winchester as well? [A bit surprised there. Kyrie has one...well it's not her's but her gun crazy father-in-law owns it.]

Oh, yes. I find them to be quite lovely. The craftsmanship is superb, and they're quite reliable. Don't you think so as well?

They certainly are reliable and good in a tight spot. Unfortunately I had to bargain with the postman for mine, but what can you do. I own an M1894, sawed off.

Sadly, it's just one of my many, but it's a great start. And it's a shame you had to deal with the postman, I find the idea of going there absolutely appalling, but it sounds like you walked away with quite the prize.

A gun collector? My husband and you would have gotten along great. He's a big fan of old Westerns and taught me how to use the shotgun himself. [A small giggle.] It's all in the past now. I got what was taken from me and I still have the rifle, so I'm satisfied.

Yes, I just can't get quite enough of them. Honestly, I think more women should be interested in them myself. [There's a small sigh on her end.] I'm pleased to hear that someone here understands them, at least.

Unfortunately there aren't many, but the ones that are make good company. I'm Kyrie.

Bree. Bree Van de Kamp. It's very nice to meet you. Have you been here long?

A little over a month. It's not so bad, once you get used to how miserable everything is.

It is a bit miserable, but they do their best to make it look nice. I can appreciate that effort.

Yes, there are many positive things about the 1950's style. And at least when something is broken, it comes back. Are you as annoyed as I am that the drones treat us like we shouldn't be out on the streets unless we're grocery shopping? Or does that feeling disappear after a while?

Hah, I just ignore them. If they bother you enough you can just smack them. They don't normally react anyway.

Normally, I'd hate to make a scene in public, but I'll keep that in mind.
