1. Oh yeah, im sure this was a cover up jordana, just like 9-11 is a cover up. You know what im sure all the palestinian insrugents are really Israelis attempting to undermine the Palestineans effort for a state. Put down your Chomsky, and think for yourself. You can continue with your blame america/israel first idealogy, or you can use your mind, and realize the UN has long had a track record of helping terrorists in the middle east, and it doesnt stop at protecting wanted militants, but also assist in kidnappings, as they did to Hizbolla has it kidnapped three isaeli soldiers in 2001.
2. This has nothing to do with Bush, its showing you how reliable and great our friend is, (the UN) to fighting terrorism, and defending our intrests.
3.Look, theres a group called ProtestWarrior, who goes to ANSWER rallies, and counters them. On thier site they have video footage of what takes place.

Your views on the A.N.S.W.E.R. rallies are interesting. Have you attended one?
I have.
No, not holding up banners and waving signs. I reported on an A.N.S.W.E.R. rally that was being held over the summer in Boston for my journalism class. It was a march against the Democratic National Convention. Yes, against the Democrats-- against liberals.
I'll agree with you that these people ARE on the extreme left. And that they do, God forbid, support "the liberation of" Palestine. At the March, they had a Palestinian speaker. But they also had a Haitian speaker. And a gay speaker. And an American soldier, back from Iraq. And have you actually talked to any of these "extreme liberals"? Heard their views? Doubtful. It is no surprise that the website you directed me to is a conservative website, rather than, say, the A.N.S.W.E.R. site itself.
I'll let you know that I interviewed countless ANSWER members in a period of 3 or 4 days, prior to the DNC. The people I talked to came from all over-- San Francisco, North Carolina, New York, and, well, Haiti, too. Half of them were Yale or U Penn dropouts. I have hours of tapes of their speeches and their demands and their answers to questions like "What is your position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?" If you want to hear the tapes, let me know, but they are not racist, nor do they support terrorism. (Hence, Act Now to Stop War and End Racism).
Oh, and also, what enemy flags have they held up at rallies? Who are our enemies? Terrorists don't have flags- they are individuals, not nations.
And last, saying "Your Che and female suicide bomber?" Whose... mine? Are you actually suggesting that I support Che and female suicide bombers? Ok, you can bullshit about maybe Bush's intentions, or Cheney's, or the UN's, or Iraq's, or Arabs', or Muslims', but don't tell me what I think, because I'm pretty sure that's only something I would know, thanks.

1. They hate with a passionate double standard, in which the powerful are wicked, and the weak are just and rightous.
2. ANSWER is an ironic name for the orgnazation seeing how it is a racist propagindist group. Why would it make a difference what site im linking too, to show you pictures of rallies?
3. have you read the sign's at their marches? A. The US worse than Nazi Germany B. "We Support Troops Who Shoot their officers" C. et al.
4.Waving an Iraqi Flag while iraq was under the control of Hussein would classify it as an enemy flag.
5.I want Let you know that i am not impressed by your extra curriculars. I dont know, maybe you should check some interviews on the site. IN FACT I CHALLANGE YOU. THINK FOR YOURSELF. PUT DOWN THE CHOMSKY AND ZINN AND TAKE A LONG HARD LOOK AT WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE, DONT BE AFRAID TO LEARN SOMETHING, OR TO BE CRITICAL OF ASPECTS IN YOUR OWN MOVEMENT.
Re: I Learned a Lot in Jamaica Plain this SummerptiteamericaineOctober 8 2004, 00:50:07 UTC
a) I do not claim that it (ANSWER) is my movement. I am merely suggesting that everyone has a different perpsective, and just because it is different than yours, it doesn't mean they're automatically hateful terrorist-supporting racists.
b) Again, I HAVE read the signs at their marches. I've BEEN to their marches. And I can say that, contrary to your website, it was very peaceful. Only one person was arrested the entire time, and it was because he was "looking at buildings suspiciously." He was released 20 minutes later. The only potential clash was presented by an anti-abortion group that tried to physically stop the march from continuing.
c) I didn't mean to patronize by telling you my "extra curriculars." Again, I was just suggesting that YOU may not have the full story-- scanning a partisan site will never give you the full story. Before you assume you know people's opinions and views and why they feel the way they do, you have to talk to them. I doubt you've talked to any of the protestors directly involved in these A.N.S.W.E.R. rallies. My extracurricular was not meant to impress you, but to support why I feel you were being unfair.
d) The banner in the picture on protestwarrior.com had a woman wearing a head scarf. Does that mean she's automatically a female suicide bomber?
e) Che fought for liberation. ANSWER strongly beleives in the fight against any form of occupation, hence their support for Palestine, Haiti, and other places. It has nothing to do with racism. It has to do with personal liberties. Che is an example of fighting for these liberties.
f) I don't think that Iraq should be viewed as an enemy when we're trying to "liberate it." Holding an Iraqi flag at these rallies is not in support of Saddam Hussein, but in the Iraqi people's right to freedom from American occupation, as many (in Iraq) feel it has become.
Re: Jumping (Far) to ConclusionsptiteamericaineOctober 7 2004, 22:19:41 UTC
Oh and by the way, the caption under the picture of "leftist radicals" supposedly supporting female suicide bombers (though the banner only has a picture of a woman wearing a shawl, but I guess you can distort just about anything...), misspells Che's name. It's GuevAra, not GuevEra. Now THAT'S credibility.
Put down your Chomsky, and think for yourself.

A.Your Che and Female Suicide Bomber: http://www.protestwarrior.com/images/protest_gallery/DC/them/pages/T024.htm
B. I challange you to watch one of their videos, its unedited and shows the dispicability, of the "liberals" or whatever you want to call them, at these marches.
Go watch Operation Wolverines

4. Haha, im sorry. At pro-America rallies we dont wave portriats of Hitler and enemy flags...but hmm where have i seen those in DC before?
