Yesterday was spent being rowdy, drinking wine from the bottle, chanting in German and getting a nice sunburn suntan in Manchester. Every year, various German departments from around the country get together to play football. Originally it was just Leeds and Sheffield, but this year there were seven or eight unis competing. It was one of the funniest days I have had in a long time. We got back to Sheffield at ten and after a quick turn-around we went out to Poptarts, a night at the union, and danced and sang and drank some more.
Despite some roughness this morning I have managed to type up slides for a presentation today, cooked dinner and made some of these:
Lemon cupcakes with lemon buttercream topping. Also vegan.
