Jonny called me Wed afternoon and asked if I wanted to be in a Korean movie as an extra. I had many questions about where it was, how long it would take, what kind of movie it was. The answer to all of which were "I dont know"
So we hopped in his car and drove down to Yongsan to work on a Korean film called "Pacemaker". Its about a Korean marathon runner in the 2012 olympics. We thenn preceed to put in two 14 hour long days. Mostly we sat around, but it was hot and they didnt provide shade or much of anything for the people there.
The coolest part was meeting the other extras, who where all students from all over the world. A lot of Africans and people from CIS countries. Jonny got his Swalhili on. We had no idea he could speak it that well. I meet some Columbians and a Mexican dude and was able to hold long conversations in Spanish, much to my surprise.
They invited us to come back again in July when they do some more filming at a stadium in Seoul. We told them we would like about. Maybe if I came prepared with a lawn chair, an umbrella for shade, and cartoons of cigarettes it wouldnt have been so bad.
