#4 The Blog of a KKK Member
I thought this challenge would be the easiest due to previous experience in researching hate groups and a subscription to the
ADL newsletter. Boy was I wrong.
Turned out to be harder than i thought. Finding a hate blog is easy. They come in a bounty of flavors from
Christian Identity (Be sure to vote in the poll, I chose "Between now and next weekend"), to
Neo-Nazi. One can even find mediocre
folk or
metal music to rock out to while perusing the online resources of the "White Pride Movement".
Has the advent of youtube made your media of choice video? No problem you can get your White Christian Nationalist fix
here. Prehaps listen to it while trying to beat your high score at
this game that encourages you to direct a suicide bomb to kill as many Jews as possible.
The only thing that was actually difficult was locating a blog written by someone that was openly loyal to the KKK. After the decimation of the KKK through legal action and in fighting there has been no national Klan organization. Furthermore young people are far more likely to join Skinhead or Neo-Nazi organizations. Even if we go to
Stormfront.org, the largest Online Hate Community (outside of the 700 Club) that unites haters from as far away as Europe and Australia, we cannot distinguish who is part of what group.
But allow me to triumphantly introduce our "Klogger" and my answer to the fourth part of my challenge,
David Duke. Duke is on of the most well know KKK members in the US and looks a lot like the bad guy from Die Hard 3. His entry on wikipedia and parts of his website credited him with attempting to modernizing the klan. Meaning he is one of the personalities behind a new movement amongst white nationalist to promote themselves of advocates of "pride in white heritage" and "self-defense" rather than the older song and dance that we see in a pre-WWII KKK. But atleast he is
anti-war.
Did I meation that membership in the groups that I have mentioned here have multiplied since 9/11? This is cause for concern even for other whites such as myself, as these groups rarely stop with racial minorities and often move on to include Catholics, Communists, homosexuals, and eventually leftists. Furthermore all of these groups attempt to manufacture an artificial idea of "whiteness" that has very little room for people like me or my values. Finally the fact that many of these groups cluster around churches and particular pastors is not lost on me, nor does it come as any surprise.
Peace and Love,
Justino
P.S.
xaositecte, I put forth that the work and throughness that I have put into this part of the
challenge should earn me the ability to strike down one of the other parts.
