I'll say it straight and plain... I know I've made mistakes. I've always been afraid..

There are two tragedies in life. One is not to get your heart’s desire. The other is to get it.
-Man and Superman, George Bernard Shaw

Man and Superman is a play about the pursuit of a heart’s desire. About the chase of love, lust and everything in between. But does the fulfillment of your desire result in a tragedy? Does the achievement of that which you’ve sought for so long take away your life’s purpose?

I think that sometimes it does. Fulfillment of your heart’s desire ends in tragedy. The achievement of all that you’ve sought takes away life’s purpose. Without that desire to chase, you are left adrift without a goal. And it is in having goals that a person’s life is given meaning.

But where does that leave someone who searches for fulfillment? Who searches for contentment and stability? Where does that leave someone looking to be happy?
