I have been eating so well lately, due in no small part to my garden. An incomplete list of things I have made in the last few weeks:
» bruschetta with goat cheese, homemade fig paste, and prosciutto
» bruschetta with tomatoes and basil
» fresh spring rolls and dipping sauce
» tabbouleh
» white bean spread with garlic scapes
» ...and whole wheat pita to go with both of the above
» spinach salad with warm bacon-shallot dressing
» grilled zucchini salad with tomatoes and balsamic-shallot vinagrette
» steamed baby leeks with mustard vinaigrette
» squash and corn fritters with mint yogurt sauce
» Thai-style chicken with basil
» spicy chicken and bok choi with hoisin sauce (...it turns out that chard makes a pretty good bok choi substitute, thank goodness)
» spicy Indian-style green beans
» green herb tart with spinach and chard
» coconut macaroons
» almond macaroons
» white cake with raspberry-almond filling
» vanilla frozen custard
» cardamom frozen custard with raspberry swirl
» salted caramel frozen custard
» raspberry sorbet
» Belgian waffles with raspberry sauce
Tomorrow: my favorite salsa cruda with jalapeños. Om nom nom.
This weekend after more tomatoes ripen: tomato tart with rosemary and olives.
...I really should post some pictures of my garden.
