OMG Sherlock showing up at Joan's dinner with her family! Singing her praises ("a promising detective in her own right")! Explaining Joan's job to her mom! Yeah, there's other family there, but her mom is totally the target audience: "She practices quite a unique specialty, your daughter.... You can measure her success in careers restored, in my case criminals caught, and in lives saved." And by saying "You've raised a modest daughter" he also manages to compliment Mama Watson's parenting.
I was already getting pretty fond of Sherlock, but now I like him a lot. A LOT. Because he not only appreciates Joan's awesomeness, he wants her mom to appreciate it too. \o/
