because apparently another show is exactly what I needed in my life.
For reasons that are not even worth going into, today was A Day. A really, really annoying day. And at the end of it, I just wanted to come home and eat some spaghetti with pesto and cherry tomatoes and drink a glass -- okay, possibly two glasses -- of a nice sauvignon blanc and watch last night's episode of Nashville.
Then I realized that Nashville isn't back from hiatus until next week.
So I went ahead and *ahem*ed the first episode of Elementary and watched it with my dinner, because vonniek and
oyceter have been steadily accumulating fannishness about it and their preferences are fairly good predictors of mine, especially when Vonnie gets excited about this kind of partners-against-the-world setup.
I don't love it (yet?), but I like it. And I like Lucy Liu a lot. So... I am not diving in headfirst, but I am already planning to watch the next few eps.
It occurs to me that this is how I ended up getting into Heroes. Let's all pray that this show goes better than that one did. Heh.
