questions about vid rec preferences
I have a vid recs page, which was last updated... over a year and a half ago. ::facepalm:: And for various reasons I'm thinking about changing the format of the page, or possibly moving it over to del.icio.us.
Right now, the recs page links primarily to vidders' web pages; but increasingly I'm seeing vidders who don't have webpages, or at least don't have much on the pages. The recs page is organized by vidder, because I tend to think about vids in terms of vidder more than in terms of source, and so while I have tried to make it possible to find vids by fandom, the functionality of that part of the page is a) not great, and b) a pain to keep updated. The page is also organized around the way I used to watch vids, which was to download them constantly, hang onto them for months, and watch them infrequently but in huge batches; that system is no longer working for me, and so I'm going to try to shift to watching vids more regularly (like actually watching them when I download them - a novel concept for me), which would mean making smaller updates more often (although clearly "more often" is a relative term).
So I'm trying to gather some info about how People Who Are Not Me actually read recs, what kinds of info they find useful, etc.
