chest colds and root vegetables

Having managed to evade the WisCholera, I have instead come down with a less immediately unpleasant but rather exhausting chest cold, which was passed along to me by the local friend who criticized my tomato-growing methods a couple of weeks ago. Oh, that's what parsnips are! I always associated them with turnips too. (Probably just because they both end in "nips.")

I'm now wondering how a conversation between the two of you about growing potatoes would go.

If you're going to associate another vegetable with turnips, it should be rutabegas, which are in fact rather like turnips, though arguably yummier.

As for potatoes... between the cutting up and the burying, I feel sure we'd be in serial killer territory. Heh.
