CSA box: red peppers!
This week's box includes a red pepper and a yellow pepper in addition to green, purple, and ivory. Lots more lovely heirloom tomatoes, including black prince, valencia, tigerella, several peach tomatoes, and a costulata romanesco, which I've never seen before; it's sort of corrugated. More globe eggplant, more sweet corn (new variety), more basil, more rainbow carrots, another cucumber, more jade and burgundy beans, a lovely large red onion, and - the other glory of this week's box - a small, heavy, almost perfectly round watermelon.
My bike's been fixed - turns out I'd busted an axle somehow - so I was able to pick up the box via bike, which I enjoy; I like strapping the box to the rack over the back wheel and riding home more slowly than usual, taking the corners more carefully, smelling sweet basil all the way home.
