My own notes for this panel resemble my notes for teaching, which is to say that they are extensive and yet idiosyncratic to the point of being incomprehensible to anyone who isn't, well, me. You're welcome! I hope they're helpful!

Vienna Tang is one of those piano-oriented artists whom I almost mentioned by name in the tougher-to-edit category. But you're right, "Harbor" is definitely editable -- that repetition of the chorus at the end, if nothing else, and I'm sure someone who knows the song better (as you do!) can come up with other solutions as well.

This is awesome, it's great to have long notes and music samples and extra examples to help me remember all of this. And I definitely have a few songs that could be trimmed so this is very helpful.

Fantastic post! I feel vindicated, having just slashed John Cougar Mellencamp's "What If I Came Knocking" from a daunting 5.08 to a more manageable 4.00. I find looking at the wave form in the audio track is enormously helpful in getting the cuts just right so as to be almost undetectable (unless you're a rabid JCM fan wondering where the heck the between-verse instrumentals have gone...)

Glad you enjoyed! Like you, I find looking at wave forms to be very helpful, though of course listening to it is always the final test.
