Thanks are due to renenet, my fearless beta, who spent eighteen months reassuring me that yeah, I'd vid again someday, who spent hours on the phone and on AIM listening to me blither on about what I was trying to do and then telling me what I'd actually done, and who didn't tell me to rip out the last third and start over; to f1renze, who went through the next-to-last draft literally shot by shot to help me tighten up the timing and smooth out the flow; to coffeeandink, who pointed out a couple of places where the vid was suggesting things I didn't mean; to fan_eunice, laurashapiro, pipsqueaky, sdwolfpup, sisabet, and sockkpuppett, who waved pom-poms after watching early drafts; and to absolut3destiny, who not only wrote the super-helpful tech guides that got me up to speed on avisynth but patiently answered my questions about frame rates and inverse telecining until I finally got it, or at least got enough of it to make the vid. Heh.
I mentioned "New Frontier" back in April as a song I'd been thinking about vidding for Firefly but rejected because the sound of the song didn't match the look of the show. Then Joss fixed that little problem by making me a movie. This vid is the expression of my perfectly sane devotion.
The unedited original version of the song, along with the rest of the album, is available at the BoBP site. Great band. I recommend every single song up there, and also the very satisfying live shows should you ever have the chance to catch one.
