vid remaster: Window of Opportunity

So! The New Computer is up and running, and I've been vidding on it; and in addition to working on new projects, I decided to remaster "Window of Opportunity." I did this largely because the vid was originally made with downloaded source of questionable quality, including bootlegs of the unaired eps that renenet managed to get hold of for me, whereas now I have shiny widescreen DVD source. But it was also a great chance to learn the Avisynth system and get accustomed to Premiere Pro with significantly less stress than a new vid would involve: the thinking parts are all done, so I was only worrying about the tech. Plus I was able to "fix" a couple of transitions that always bugged me because at the time I couldn't figure out how to make Premiere do what I wanted it to do - I put "fix" in quotes because I'm not sure anybody but me is going to notice the difference, but you know, it's my vid, and I do notice, and now I'm happier. Oh, and I cleaned up the very beginning, and amused myself with the credits. Heh.

If you're interested, you can get the improved version (in so-pretty DivX) at paper cup. It's about 35MB.

Like everybody else on earth, I recommend the VLC media player.

Huh. This means I'm going to have to update my nearly-calcified website, doesn't it. I wonder if I remember how to do that. I think I still have a half-completed site redesign buried somewhere in the depths of my website folder. I know I have a pile of new vid recommendations that I need to add. Maybe I'll even get that stuff done before next VividCon.

Or maybe I'll just focus on actually vidding. Now there's a thought.
