monday poem #75: Jim Ferris, "Normal"

Some weeks I think I should switch this commitment over to "tuesday poems," but I have a feeling I'd just end up posting on wednesdays.

Good lord! That's my boss! Jim Ferris runs the Comm Arts course that I taught last year. I can't tell you how odd it is to run across his name on my flist!

Hee! I've met Jim; he struck me as a lovely person. I hope he's a good boss as well, since sadly that's not a necessary corollary of being a lovely person.

Ooh, unfortunately, that corollary is not in effect here. It's possible he's a lovely person outside the classroom, but I'm afraid I was quite relieved to be assigned to a different course this fall. Still weird to see him in LJ-land, though :-)
