new vid up: "Cat-Scan Hist'ry"

Finally, a new vid.

This one's for the movie Donnie Darko. If you've seen the movie, I'm particularly curious to know what you think. If you haven't seen the movie and intend to, I think it's safe to watch the vid; it does (inevitably) contain some spoilers, but the movie is sufficiently complex that I think I've been able to not spoil some pretty significant plot points. [ETA: There are now some spoilers in the comment threads for this post.]

Cat-Scan Hist'ry
source: Donnie Darko
music: The Blue Aeroplanes, "Cat-Scan Hist'ry"
format: DivX, 35 MB
summary: Donnie's universe. The shade of a notion, the ghost of a plan.

So head on over to paper cup and check it out, if you're so inclined. Keep in mind that I will probably be sending this vid to VividCon, and it will also be going on the DVD I'm planning for later this year sometime in the not-too-distant future, so if you'd rather see it on a big screen first, you should probably hold off.

Big thanks, as always, to renenet, who provided helpful beta despite having two quite different sets of reactions to the draft, and to sockkpuppett, who pointed out glitches, reassured me that I'd managed to do at least some of the things I wanted to do, and made a critical aesthetic suggestion that I was smart enough to implement.

Special thanks also to killabeez, who very kindly loaned me the DVD for months until renenet bought me my own copy, and to tzikeh, for always being enthusiastic about the evil bunny.
