This is the list that I take bookshopping with me. It's also the list I use when filching things from truepenny's bookshelves, which is why it's not called "books to buy." Sometimes I borrow stuff and then Must Have It (cf Robin McKinley), but other times the borrowing is enough, at least for now.
Some authors are listed without book titles. In a few cases, this indicates that I'm already familiar with the author's work and just need a reminder to keep looking for the books I don't already have. In most cases, though, it means that I read a rec somewhere but didn't get or can't remember specific titles to pursue. (This is especially true in the SFF and poetry sections.)
So if you see an author listed without titles and want to rec particular titles, I'd appreciate it.
