that time of the year
owww i think i broke myself at the gym yesterday. not sure how, but this morning i woke up with a crick underneath my collarbone. how the heck does that happen? ow ow ow. currently sitting on the sofa with a heated corn pillow over my chest trying to improve the situation while feebly attempting to do schoolwork.
meanwhile burningland preparations continue to take over my life and drive latemodel to distraction. obsessing appears to be the best way to keep me motivated, though! there are also more possibly fun fashion events this week, seeing as it's that time of the year, including a Skingraft trunk show at Five & Diamond on Sunday Aug. 10th from 5pm-9pm, a vendor's sale featuring Gibbous, Miranda Caroligne and a ton of other local designers at Mighty from 2pm-8pm also on Sunday (Beyond the Fence), and something similar on Wednesday the 13th at the Bus Stop gallery, 135 Dore St., 6pm-10pm. i will definitely check out the Skingraft show, even though the Steamtrunk one was not actually all that exciting, but at least it's an excuse to dress up and drool over pretty things i can't afford right now.
i also have my first DJ gig in an embarrassingly long while at MEAT on Thursday the 21st, so you should all come out and i will attempt to remember how to DJ. i mean, drop the phat beats. must remember not to get too trashed before i start spinning, though :P.
