::I'm not coming home tonight, so don't wait up, cause I never thought I'd get this cold in California::

Two weeks...two stressful, hard, exciting, painful, joyful, unpredictable weeks ahead of me, and I'll be back home in Seattle. I am excited, but cautious. I love home. I love the people at home...but I remember that I left Seattle--with all its depressing quirks--for something new, and I'm not willing to accept something old. Old friends-->heck yes! Old life? Not if you paid me. I've learned so much and grown so much this year, and I'm sorry friends, but I refuse to be the same. But please allow me to teach you what I've learned...and for goodness sake, dearest, teach me about you, too. Show me how you've become one year older, and what it was like for you, so I can grow too, and we can grow together--because that is what fellowship is all about.

Teona:John and I are battling for you this week--and at the risk of being completely wrong, we walk in faith this week, believing that on Friday you will have a uteris--and should I go so far as to pray that that MRI tells us all that God is bigger than cancer, and you don't have it anymore. Maybe those pains in your belly this weekend were birth pains for a miracle.
