My livejournal is public now. Isn't that nice?
I had a good interview today at Starbucks. I also made a new friend. None of this would have happened if I hadn't taken the WRONG bus and ended up around Fruitvale by accident. Lucky for me, Steven is a hero and picked me up and took me back to a BART station. I started over by simply taking the Emery-Go-Round (which is, um, FREE) and I made up for all my previous stupidity by NOT missing the job fair.
A woman accosted me at Del Norte today, she came up to me gnashing her teeth and screeching "DO YOU GOT A DOLLAR?" I gave her a dollar, and she asked for another. She looked at my wallet lustily. There was clearly no money in there. Other than the $10 bill that I had put into the BART ticket machine at least, that I definitely didn't want her to see because I needed it for transportation, and would rather not have it be spent on crack. "I need another dollar," she said. "Sorry," I said for about the fifth time.
See, if you're going to ask someone for money, at least be polite about it. Don't try to help them clean out their wallet. They don't need help with that. They already need the money for, say, expensive BART tickets or rude bus drivers.
