It is holiday time! Which means I can stop being a morbid, negative little cloud and enjoy the sunshine and the birdsong and not seeing 6:15am for a while :D
End of term was a relief. It's going to be hard again next term, but if I can at least catch up on my books, plan ahead a little and do a few of the things it's been in my mind to do for months now I will feel even better!
I've started gearing up, if not packing down for Cairo. Contract and affiliated gubbins left last week, hopefully it will arrive there soon. First of at least 6 vaccination updates have now healed; the top shelf is again within my grasp!
The lovely
Marcus_felix and I cleared out a bunch of stuff from school this morning before investigating Leamington Spa's new sushi bar. I'm still not at home with the idea of mayonnaise in sushi, but you do get to see the (Swedish? Norwegian?) chefs preparing it and all the gyoza, tampura and such are freshly done to order. Their miso and hocha were both very good too, just look carefully at the Hot Tuna uramaki; the chilli power on the outside second time round caught me out!
We wondered a couple of galleries but then our parking was due to run out and I needed to put my feet up (literally. I'm getting sick of the aching in the back of one, not to mention taking stairs one at a time!)
So I'm sat on the sofa, having had good company, and my darling nursemaid insist I'm not being a pain if I ask for a drink now and again! I have purple hair (green fringe) and henna practice flaking from my hand and foot.
Tomorrow, I am not going to move much at all; I shall designate this Art Day, where That Which Has Been Waiting Too Long will be seen to.
Long may Happy Bowdy shout orders from her Sofa of Power!
