I'm being forced to blog!!!
First day of the last semester ever! Yay! I thought this was a date worth documenting therefore I am writing in my blog i.e. documenting it. I actually have a new blog - antoinettecinemaverite.blogspot.com. I'm being forced to do this one for my Cinema Verite class. There's nothing now, but go there to see me in intellectual cinema mode....or not.
I have a job interview with ABC News on Friday. I like telling people that because it makes me sound accomplished. In reality, it is just a desk job, I probably won't get it and I am not accomplished. I do need to get into job mode. After graduating, I'm taking a year off (at least) before grad school and I can't sit at home watching HGTV all day. I need to work and I'm poor so I need money.
Since the last time I've written, I've basically been doing my thesis - a screenplay about this laundromat that closed in my neighborhood. It's a comedy. It is due soon. I think its good in its now nearly finished stage. Some people have read it before but I don't won't anyone to read it now. I want to remain under the impression that it is a good screenplay and that I am a good writer. My adviser is bothering me about the ending. I blow up the laundromat. It doesn't come out of the blue; it is set up and hinted at throughout the story. I'm not changing it. i'm going to fight for that ending. My adviser is over 70 or something so it should be an easy fight.
